Stevia - : The Sweet Companion to Naturalists

Stevia originated from Paraguay of South America. Native people in Paraguay and other parts of South America have used stevia safely for centuries. Stevia is a natural sweetener that is primarily used as an alternative to sugar. It is a wonderful substitute to enhance the flavor of anything you would normally use as sugar. Stevia may also help in treating individuals with diabetes, hypoglycemia, high blood pressure, weight control, nicotine cravings, dental hygiene, colds & flu, obesity and as a sugar substitute. Brewing & Serving: Put a small quantity of stevia leaves in a cup and infuse with 150ml of freshly boiled water. Leave it to brew for 3 to 5 minutes and serve. For optimum sweetness, grinded into powder and add ¼ of tea spoon of stevia powder in any beverage as sugar replacement.
